3.Using pay as you charge points

Cost to use charge points depend on the owner/host, the tariffs for use of each charge point are shown in the app. If using the Top up service you will need to have credit of £2.50 or more in order to start a charge cycle. If you have insufficent credit you will need to top up or pay for a one time charge in order to start a charge cycle. Some owner/hosts allow your charge cycle to complete if you exceed your credit balance and your account will be in debit requiring repayment before you can charge again. Other owner/hosts charge points will end your charge cycle when your balance reaches zero. Full details on using and paying are available in our user guide.

We use external payment processing companies to process a financial transaction. We use Stripe and PayPal . At no stage do we store any of your card or account details. When using our payment processors administration software only the last four digits of your payment card details cen be seen by our staff. If you use an authorised debit or credit card such details are collected and stored by our payment processor.

We calculate the cost of your charge cycle based on the energy (kWh) readings provided by the charge point. Charge points we operate contain a MID approved meter that provides billing grade energy readings so we know how much energy your car recieved during a charge cycle. The cost of your charge cycle is based on the tariff on the charge point at the time you recieve the energy. This shall always be shown in the App. Some charge point may impose overstay charges (overstay is define as time you are still parked and plugged in but no longer drawing electricity). If overstay is applied you shall be notified by SMS when your car finishes drawing power and a grace window will give you time to return and remove your vehicle.

If you experience a defect with our app or any charge point, you should contact us as soon as possible and allow us opportunity to repair, fix the problem or suggest an alternative charge point. We cannot guarantee the working order of all charge points provided in our app due to RCBO and MCB trips, damage to connectors and other electrical faults. We encourage all charge point owners/hosts to maintain thier charge points and will endevour to ensure issues are reflected in the app as we learn of issues in real time. We provide our services to you ‘as is’ and you are using all aspects of our services at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, all warranties and conditions whether express, implied or statutory with respect to our services and the use of our apps are excluded.
